Developers & Landowners
Overview
With an unparalleled depth of experience in real estate development and finance, Halloran & Sage represents developers, owners and investors in residential, commercial, hospitality, recreational and industrial projects. Our work extends to public/private ventures, affordable housing, sale-leaseback transactions and common-interest communities. We assist in all phases of a project, from structuring, financing and permitting to construction and leasing.
We have extensive experience representing clients in zoning, subdivision and other land-use matters. We frequently work on projects involving historic preservation, special permits and variance requests, zoning appeals and governmental grants and subsidies. We also manage development and construction permitting, construction and architectural contract negotiations, condominium creation and conversions.
We regularly assist developers and financial institutions in analyzing and managing environmental risks in real estate deals, including Brownfields projects within Connecticut and New England. For property redevelopment, our attorneys structure public and private financing packages, including development loans, grants, tax increment financing, and other tax incentives.
