Suzanne M. Scibilia
Suzanne M. Scibilia is a member of the Firm's Business and Commercial Law Practice Group. She has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate and commercial business transactions. She represents both large and small businesses in their formation, structure, financing (both equity and debt), and ongoing business transactions. She primarily represents clients in New England, but also international business clients in drafting and negotiating contracts, closings of acquisitions and sales of stock, assets, and real estate, and general business representation.
Ms. Scibilia represents issuers of securities in connection with the private placement of securities and compliance with federal and state law and regulation relating to placements, purchase and sale of businesses, contract drafting and negotiation, and commercial financial and real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Halloran & Sage LLP, Ms. Scibilia was founding and Managing Partner of a corporate and commercial law firm engaged in all types of corporate transactions. As principal owner and manager of her own law firm for over twenty years, she has a unique understanding of owning and operating a business, and uses that experience in representing clients. She was also previously a partner in a Hartford law firm specializing in banking and securities matters, including the conversion of a significant number of savings banks and savings and loan associates from mutual to stock ownership, public offerings of securities, formation of de novo financial institutions, and other banking related representation.
