Carl R. Ficks, Jr.
Mr. Ficks serves businesses in the trucking and transportation, construction and maritime industries as their outside counsel, legal advocate and counselor. He is also Co-Chair of Halloran & Sage's Trucking and Transportation Practice.
Mr. Ficks has extensive trial and appellate experience, including numerous arguments before the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. He also represents clients in the negotiation and administration of labor-management agreements and before labor relations agencies.
Mr. Ficks currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, CT. The Hospital for Special Care is a private, not-for-profit 228- bed long term acute and chronic care hospital, widely known and respected for its expertise in neuromuscular care, physical rehabilitation, respiratory and pulmonary care, and medically complex pediatrics. He is a past member of the board of directors of the New Britain Boys & Girls Club and the New Britain-Berlin Rotary Club, and actively served as a fundraiser for the New Britain YMCA for many years. Mr. Ficks is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association as well as the Council of Counsel of the National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association.
