Gerald T. Giaimo
Gerald T. Giaimo maintains a civil and criminal trial practice in Connecticut's State and Federal Courts. Mr. Giaimo's practice focuses on counseling clients and litigating matters in the areas of complex commercial law, construction and mechanic's lien law, health care regulation, bodily injury law, employment law, insurance coverage law and felony and misdemeanor criminal defense. Mr. Giaimo has extensive jury and court trial experience, and often serves as local counsel in large commercial disputes and federal criminal prosecutions.
Mr. Giaimo is active in the American Bar Association and has held numerous leadership positions in the organization. Mr. Giaimo is a member of the American Bar Association, Construction Law Section, as well as the Business Law Section and Criminal Justice Section. He is a former officer in the ABA, Young Lawyers Section.
At the State and local levels, Mr. Giaimo is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association's Standing Committee on Long Range Planning, and the Task Force on Mentoring. Mr. Giaimo also served as Secretary of the CBA. In 2006 Mr. Giaimo was appointed a Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation.
Mr. Giaimo has received the Leader in the Law award from the Connecticut Law Tribune, and was also recognized by the Connecticut Business Times with their "Forty Under Forty" award.
